The Oxfam brand is a shadow of its former self, and its future is uncertain.
Yet, Oxfam had years of advanced warning of the reputation crisis that they are currently embroiled in.
The CNN article on the link below from nearly 10 years ago reports various international NGOs involved in sexual misconduct, including abuse of children.

At the end of the article there is the statement "Oxfam takes a zero-tolerance approach to sexual misconduct by its aid workers. All our staff across the world are held accountable by a robust code of conduct,"
Clearly a code of conduct is not sufficient to avoid behaviour that could bring about the ruin of a reputation, as well as the suffering of many victims.
It is unlikely Oxfam is the only large agency with issues. Others will now be trying to get their house in order before they suffer similar revelations.
